Avely is a San Diego native and has lived in Rancho Penasquitos for the last decade.
Although she did not grow up playing sports, her husband Dustin has turned her into a true fanatic. Her two children are extremely passionate about basketball, and her daughter is a part of the Sundevil's program with her son to soon follow.
Avely is a firewife, an avid runner and reader, and enjoys technology. She is passionate about youth sports and being active and involved in the community.
She is excited to support and grow the Sundevils program!
Mark Lathram
Secretary
Mark has lived in the Rancho Penasquitos area for over 15 years after moving down to San Diego from the Bay Area in 2007.
He played highschool basketball in the Bay Area, and interestingly enough, the one long-distance tournament his highschool team played in every year was the Holiday Classic at Mt. Carmel Highschool.
Mark's wife Missy went to Mt. Carmel Highschool as well, and it was destiny his three kids were going to be Sundevils! His son has already been through the Sundevils program, and he has one daughter currently going through the program.
The combination of great coaches, great families, local practices and games, the community feeling, and the focus on preparing the kids for highschool basketball, are what attracts Mark and his family to the Sundevils program. Mark and his family have benefited immensely from the Sundevils program and he is passionate about carrying that forward to other families for years to come!

Board member
Gene has lived in the Scripps Ranch/Poway area for the last 11 years. He has three children, a son who is currently in the SCB program, a daughter who attends Mount Carmel High School and a daughter who played basketball at Our Lady of Peace Academy.
My son has been part of the SCB program for two years and I am a passionate believer in the SCB program. Being originally from New York, Gene is a New York Knicks fan who enjoys watching all levels of basketball.
